Defensive Handgun Skill Builder
Training will focus on building and improving skills related to Conceal Carry and Defensive Pistol use.
Topics include: Concealment considerations, drawing from concealment, drawing from outside the waistband holster, movement before, during, and after engagement, cover/concealment, acquiring your natural point of aim/index, focal shift, target focus, flash sight picture, trigger manipulation to improve efficiency, threat identification, extra magazine carry options, various types of reloads, actions after shooting/scanning, one handed operation & manipulations, malfunction clearing, and of course accuracy at realistic reaction speed.
Courses of fire will best attempt to replicate realistic type scenarios, to include a moving/disappearing target scenario.
EQUIPMENT- Bring your CCW, Defensive Pistol, or Duty Pistol. Concealment Holster or Outside The Waistband Holster. NO CROSS-DRAW HOLSTERS – NO FLIMSY HOLSTERS THAT COLLAPSE WHEN GUN IS DRAWN. Holsters can be OWB, IWB, or AIWB, Duty, Battle Belts, Plate Carriers, EDC/CCW gear are all welcome. 150-200 rounds recommended, eye and ear protection required, and your motivation.
