Home Defense Tactics

This class addresses the multiple areas and facets of self-defense inside your home. We cover the law of self-defense as it applies per California Penal Code section 198.5. Strategies and tactics to increase home security in preventing or reducing vulnerabilities, while increasing safety. Choosing a firearm that works best for you inside your home. Tactics and techniques in employing firearms during a home invasion incident as a last line of defense.

The first part of this class will be in a classroom setting and will include various methods of movement inside a residence. When to go search, and when to stay put and hunker down. The second part will be conducted at our range and will include multiple shooting drills and scenarios related to home defense. Of course the shooting fundamentals will be covered as they are the key to our foundational performance.

EQUIPMENT- This class is designed primarily for Handguns, but secondary firearms are welcome such as rifles/carbines or shotguns. Holsters allowed and can be OWB, IWB, or AIWB, Duty, Battle Belts, Plate Carriers, EDC/CCW gear are all welcome. 150-200 rounds recommended, 2-3 magazines, and at least one magazine pouch. Those wanting to use Rifles, PCC’s, or Shotguns as secondary firearms contact me for requirements. Eye and ear protection required and bring your motivation.
